ouch, just striked my ulnar nerve into a pole

i was running, and i accidently striked my elbow (funny bone) into a pole. it's the funny bone that was hit, and when it hit... wow, i've never felt so much pain. it felt like my right arm was on fire, at the same time being electrocuted. ive never felt pain so intense from the elbow, to the pinky and ring fingers, it lasted about 1 minute, then started feeling ok. that was 3 hours ago, and i still feel some pain, i tried hitting the heavybag, but it's impossible with my right arm, my elbow screams.

anyways, the point is, if i got hit there that hard during sparring, that arm would be out for at least 1 round, the electro-numbess-burning-pain of the arm would be so distracting, it would be hard to focus on the fight/spar.

has anyone ever got hit there during sparring?

and, is it worth aiming for the funny bone as a new target? (adding to your arsenal of targets, currently the chin, liver, etc.)

i can imagine the pain you'd go through trying to hit someone's elbow so many times, lol.
