Everlast Heavy Duty Triple Threat Gym

I've searched and read that boxing stands are usually not as good as hanging up bags in a garage or basement, but I'm in a situation where I can't hang up heavy bags or bolt in speed bag stands. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this stand.

I like how it has a double-end on top of a heavy and speed bag. I've read about how some speed bag platforms on stands rattle and how you can't move around the heavy bag but I was planning on putting a sandbag or something like that on top of the speed bag platform and maybe making an extension for the heavy bag to be hung on.

    Is this a decent deal?

I had the same problem. I wanted a hanging heavy bag, but I have no room in my garage and there's no way my ceiling in the basement can support a hanging bag.

I have a setup very similar to that link and it's Everlast as well. Yeah, not being able to move around the bag gets to me, especially when I have to try and dodge the extended legs when I move to the outside of the bag. Im starting to get used to it.

I would go with that if you got the cash. Mine doesn't have a double end bag, which I really need. My speedbag backboard doesn't move that much, and it doesn't really bother me at all. Never though about building an extension for the heavy bag, get back to me on that if you decide to, because I might try that.

If your trying to train like a real fighter then they are most certainly garbage. I worked on one for about 20 seconds and just walked away. It was really limited what you could do with it.

But then again, if its your only option.................Rockin'

An extension for the heavy bag would probably work, you would just have to add some sort of weight to the back of it to keep it from tipping over.
