    Pain in shoulder

Two days ago I tried to mix up my heavybag routine and decided to use the Bas Rutten boxing cd.

He would pretty much just call out combos for a 3 minute round.

The thing is, there were alot of lead rights, as many as 10 in a row!

I pretty damn sure i overexerted my right shoulder. Now i have a pinchy pain in my should and its killing me. I should have stepped in more with my rights, but i didnt and now im just hurting.

I still have full range in motion of the shoulder but it feel like a tight pinch deep within the shoulder.

Any of you guys experience this? how did you treat it? and how long did it last?

I would appreciate your comments or suggestions.

I had the same problem when I started out. I was hitting the heavybag and all of the sudden it just kind of started hurting, I could still rotate my arm but it felt deep in my shoulder, I got a massage and she worked it out and never had a problem since.

google shoulder stretches for some... and putting warmth on your shoulder wouldn't hurt either.

Did she put alot of pressure on the shoulder? Did it instantly feel better?

lol, when i started using the bas rutten boxing workout cd, my left shoulder would hurt the most (obviously, the left is used more, for orthodox), but after 2 weeks or so, it wouldn't hurt anymore.

On this topic, I've been goin' harder on the bag lately, and I've been getting pains in my left forearm, it feels like it's originating in my elbow joint. Anyone else ever had this problem?

lol, Bas like to double up on everything, even triple up.

To many damn hooks back to back if you ask me.

Im an Ortho too, but my left hand is pretty damn strong since i like to focus on jabs and hooks.

I guess i have been neglecting my right hand and the cd really put it to work.

I use to have forearm pain, but i think it was because i wrapped to tight around the wrist and upper forearm and the fact that I clinched my fist all the time with out relaxing while not punching.

So the pain is starting from your elbow and traveling down to the forearm?

Is it like a muscle pain, or like a sharp pain?
