jab to hook

I have been trying to work on this but can't figure it out. For those of you who don't know I'm a southpaw. I will throw my left jab and then attempt to throw my right hook but Im never close enough. I want to get full extension on my jab. I guess my question is how does that combo work?

Well, first of all, throwing hooks with your non-leading hand is a technical no no. ITs called a Sunday punch, cause it takes from monday to sunday to land it.

Well obvious Jab-right hook. Or right hook left cross. Or right hook and any combination of uppercut. But it is better to always lead with a jab. Jab sets up everything.

He prolly mistaken left with right. If you are a southpaw its quite hard to throw a left jab, it will be more like cross.

step with the jab with the jab and lean into it and i will be close enough to connect
