sparring with friends

Me and my friends are planning to buy a heavy bag and speed ball and put it our garages, and train together; but we also want to spar together and we were wondering what size of gloves would be a good weight for sparring? We don't want to get the professional since we are going to be sparring just for fun, so we were thinking either 12, 14, or 16oz. What do yall think?

16, considering it's a couple of friends in a garage, you'll want all the protection you can get. 16's the standard anyways
