As much as I hate to agree with this guy, I did read this as well. However, I do think this would be an interesting fight, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Williams won.

Beating a faded Sharmba Mitchell isn't enough to put Williams in league with the elite of the division just yet. While Williams may be ambitious, he's probably better off taking on some top contenders like Kermit Cintron, Carlos Quintana or Joel Julio before going after the Champions. Although that makes sense, and would be acceptable if Tony had been playing that card all along, Margirito has been on record many times saying no one will fight him, over and over again. Here you have a top ten opponent, who is a good looking prospect and the potential for a great fight, and Tony fights Josh Clottey. Thats what makes me angry. As i have to say over and over again, Im a boxing fan first and foremost, and Williams v MArgirito > Margirito v Clottey.

And I dont think Floyd and Tony are on the same level skill/talent wise, but I do see why people think TOny would give Floyd lots of trouble.

The bottomline is this, why is clottey who is rated number 5 in the wbo getting a first crack at margarito and not the mandatory challenger in williams? and lol @ margarito ppl lying saying williams over pricing himself when goosen stated he never talk to arum about a deal yet. I think the prove is right there, if margarito is not afraid of williams then why he choose to fight clottey who is rated number 5 while williams is rated number 1 mandatory challenger?

Tony scared of Williams?....... Margarito's team is planning to get the fight with Williams in early 2007 if he gets past Clottey(from Maxboxing). Doug is the one who got the word out about the sparring sessions between Margarito and Williams way before Williams even brought them up. Doug seen the sparring in person and said that they had wars in there that had people drop what they were doing just to see the action. Doug said Williams caught Margarito with a body shot that had him gasping for air, but it was after they were already going at it for a long number rounds, and also said it's funny how Willaims only wants to talk about what he did to him, cause Margarito also landed his shot's and knocked him down(not a flash knockdown, push,or slip, but a knockdown that had Williams flat of his back and dazed).

Margarito stated he will fight williams soon..he wants to get a good payday.since he hasn't lost in 7 years..just like you gayweather fans who keep stating that gayweather is looking for the best reward and lower risk fights..yet for margarito you gayweather fans say the opposite...so take your pick do you want to see good competitive fights or see a fighter get richer,,,,
