Paquiao Denies Closing Deal With GBP

Pacquiao has denied he has closed a promotional deal with Golden Boy Promotions, says a report on ********* titled, "Pacquiao Comments On Rumors".

He also said he was not "kidnapped" to be taken to lunch by Oscar De la Hoya or folks from GBP last Sunday, pointing out that he arrived Monday, and then, went straight to his apartment and never left. He said he was there all the time with some Filipino friends. Told about the reported "kidnapping", Pac laughingly inquired as to how much ranson was paid.

I think he signed it too. I dont think GB would put that kind of info out there like that.

I can't recall that it was anyone from Golden Boy Promotions who broke the story. As far as I could see, Mark Vester attributes another boxing scribe, Dan Rafael as his source. Rafael, in turn, quoted two unidentified sources close to Pacquiao as his source.

The Mark Vester story posted here on BS by BIGPOPPA has for its last line, "Golden Boy CEO Richard Shaefer would not comment on whether or not Pacquiao has signed with his company."

Earlier, Oscar himself was asked; but he was non-commital. He said he did not wish to distract Pacquiao, so discussions for a possible deal would have to be after Pac-Morales 3.
