Valero can be raw and sloppy at times, but where did this thing of him being slow come from? That is ****ing ******ed. The dude has incredible handspeed, some good head movement and great foot speed.

I completely forgot about Guzman. What an absolute waste of talent he has been. I'd pick him to win still, but I'm pretty sure Arum is smart enough to avoid a high risk low reward fight like that one.

Why do people think Valero is hyped because he knocked out 25 tomato cans?

For years, he's been owning very good pros, some even championship level, in sparring.

That's why boxing insiders are so high on him.

Not because of the cans he's fought.

Read boxing articles about the gym wars the last couple of years and this is why people are so high on him, not because he beat bums because he wasn't even licensed to fight.

It's not terribly difficult to understand.

Valero also beat a top 10 ranked Vicente Mosquera when they fought in a war so he's not really untested, he's just untested against elite opposition.

He looked bad in that fight. He showed what ****ty stamina he had though. Anyway, I think Valero will imrpove alot

I'll admit he has alot of potential

Guzman can frustrate Valero in my opinion, Guzman has a better competetion than Edwin, but hasnt tasted a punching power like Valero so 50/50 for me

Guzman would embarass him at this point.

I'd love to see this fight get made.

People keep saying they want to see Valero vs. Pacquiao, and Valero vs. Marquez, or Hatton, or pretty much whatever other big name you can come up with from 135-140.

I'd much rather see him fight an opponet like Guzman, who is just as talented as the top names at 135-140, but with little to no fanfare anymore.

I'm positive Guzman would use Valero as a stepping stone to re-energize his career.

Guzman likely boxes circles around him.

Bro, nothing wrong for rooting for your homeboy. I don't blame ya.

Guzman isn't gonna engage if he fought Valero, but he's fast enough to outbox him.

But judges could give Valero rounds just for coming forward so even if Valero didn't land the big shot, he could get a decision.
