Yordenis Ugas sets the record straight after 'fans' cry foul over WBA decision

Damn shame. This guy WANTS to actually help unify the division, he comes to fight every time, he's generally humble, he's been hustling, and he gets no respect whatsoever for his troubles.

And worst part - everything he said is true. Manny had a chance to fight Spence, he declined. WBA couldn't let the belt be held hostage for over 2 years.

Kicking Manny out of the picture was the right thing to do under the circumstances he had a free pass for too long let the young guns fight for the titles instead of putting the titles in cobwebs.

No one with any damn sense is against this decision. At most you can say you would have rather had them leave the belt vacant, and have two guys fight for it. But stripping him is the right thing.

The WBA dumping Pacquiao is a good thing. I want more fighters like Ugas. I hope he gets the fights he wants.

i feel like the belt should go vacant in this situation, although i'm happy for Ugas--he's a good fighter.

The excuse is that Spence should ignore the WBA entirely and throw away money to make a Crawford fight.

The problem I have with that excuse is this.

Spence WANTED to fight Manny immediately after he beat Danny. He actually wanted to fight Manny immediately after Manny beat Keef.

Manny should have taken that fight because it was an in-house fight that would have been simple to make.

Ugas isn't one to play politics, so if it doesn't get signed, it's all on Spence's side this time.

Meanwhile you got Arum offering $1 million to Porter and Keef, yet Spence should just accept that? Hell no.
