Another thing: I understand you from the 'honour' perspective where Haney should just tell them to shove it, but if anything that is EXACTLY what they want* - he should be stubborn and make his voice heard.

If you've ever been homeless or in a town where you feel like an outsider and people try and make you feel lesser, the most satisfying feeling is bathing in their disdain and smiling, nothing makes them madder.

Haney has the belt, and that is so important in boxing as it gives you power and leverage. Plenty of guys in boxing that have been champion level but takes them years to get a shot at a belt.

Kellerman is bias because of his job. Bill is bias in favor of his son. Neither really speaks the truth. Teo is the real WBC lightweight champion and he does not need to beat Haney to prove it.He beat Loma who was the true lightweight champion.

Teo is no doubt the real champ. What would you say if he was to retire from boxing? Is beating Loma a guarantee that he goes into the Hall of Fame?
If he moves up to 140 and gets beat by Taylor or someone else, how would you view him then?

My point is, Teo beat the man at 135 so why not fight Haney and Garcia and destroy them and then move up.
Those two fights will bring Teo the $10 Million pay days he’s looking for and pretty much cement his legacy at 135.

I call it the protection belt. Honorary is how they explained. Nobody needs that honorary ****. I considered it a demotion when Loma escaped from the real belt. Loma didn't wanna anything to do with Haney for some reason. Arum has something against Haney.

Anyway, all belts are crap. If they worked legitly, Lopez is disputed by two champions (Davis and Haney) or he isn't even a champ for the WBC. Haney is the one who has to defend it. That's in a perfect world. The division has three champions now according to these meaningless orgs.

Not to mention their other belts. Someone like Alvarado is another champion for the WBA. They don't even call him an interim anymore. He's referred to simply as the WBA champion.

I know clearly who the REAL champion at 130 and 135 is: Gervonta Davis. I'm not confused at all. All these orgs can screw themselves. I know who the champ of each division is, and some have no clear champion, like welter and others. Nobody is separating themselves from the pack yet.

The franchise champion is not the real champion. Loma, like Canelo, asked for witness protection and didn't defend against Haney so Haney is the real champ.
