Tbf I had Barrett by two so I don’t think you could say Howard Fosters card was a disgrace

There were a lot of very close rounds which you can score either way depending on what you like to see?

But the other two are an embarrassment

They should have to talk the board through the fight in a debriefing round by round explaining the rationale

Why do you think it is? I don’t think it’s corruption. Is it nationalism? Unconscious bias?

Sometimes it feels like a bit of all three but what do I know as a total outsider. It's certainly feels like a consistent thing on these Matchroom UK cards. Even with all the poor Queensbury mismatches, when they have a good in house fight, the right guy seems to win (Arthur over Yarde for example) but maybe I'm wrong. I'm trying to think of the huge Matchroom robberies in 2020 and Ritson Vazquez is the only one my scrambled brain can come up with but I know there has got to be at least 2 others.

For me the biggest problem is it’s the same select judges over and over again. The likes of fat Terry, Foster, Ian John Lewis etc are friendly with the promoters, the fighters, the trainers etc so they have a natural bias. When Eddie Hearn or Frank Warren are paying for your expenses it’s hard to go against them. It’s like a “jobs for the boys?attitude.

But those 118-111 cards, I mean that has to be bias IMO, I don’t think you can be that incompetent, how on earth do you give Zelfa 10 rounds?

I’ve noticed a lot of the very bad decisions tend to me on Matchroom cards rather than Warren cards too.

We need a system were these judges are struck off after multiple poor decisions.

Agree it’s maybe not corruption but more unconscious, if you work with the same promoters and fighters week in week out do you subconsciously favour them?

Yeah the pool should definitely be bigger, even if that means bringing in international guys.

I hate the fact it just gets swept under the rug every time as well, we never get an explanation from the judges explaining what they saw so different to us.

Same as last year, gonna make a thread where we can log and track and log and con****uous scorecards that appear so often in boxing.

Despite the limited schedule in 2021, we still had 53 dodgy scorecards across the year, with various judges reoffending several times.

Well, if you gave me an envelope full of cold hard cash, I may have seen the fight another way. Like those judges did. They were thinking of a beach on the Spanish coast during the fight, in the condo they had just acquired.

Thoughts on the Garcia-Campbell scorecards?

The 3 judges had it 58-56, 58-55, 58-55 all to Garcia.

I personally had it 57-56 to Campbell at the time of the knockout.
