Hopkins is right. Because even on sites like ring tv dot com, the picks are 16-1 massively in favor of Garcia. And even the odds show a 5-1 in favor of Garcia. A champ fighting a guy who is the overwhelming favorite is commendable.

No, I don't agree. I see that prospect is a favorite here and he is more talented BUT we are not talking here who has the better chances here. Bhop was saying that it deserves applause what Campbell is doing by just going into the ring with a prospect (no matter how good that one is)
In fact, it is SUPPOSED to be! Had Campbell ducked Ryan Garsia - guy who has never had a title fight, that would be disgraceful.
Commendable it might be but saying about champion's heart??? You could say the same then about ANY contender! Or should I say, any contender who are underdogs?

It is like saying that a fighter has champion's heart because he goes risking his life in the ring. It is commendable and deserves some respect but let's not hyperbole complimenting.

Campbell is not getting in the ring with a prospect, he is getting in the ring with a heavily favored contender. While other lightweights are not taking a big risk, Campbell is. No other lightweight has faced Loma, Linares, and now Garcia who damn near decapitated his last two opponents. Thats a champions heart. Hopkins is right.
