I like how GGG jab was taking all the air away from Canelo with all those misses

Yeah, GGG's jab is picture perfect, specially for his style of boxing.

Where he stands just within range of his opponent at seemingly all times. You can see most of his opponents suffocate to it. Outside of Canelo (which is also his best opponent ever), every boxer usually succumbs to that pressure and ultimately his power.

But it all stems from his ability to control the other guy with his jab, just ever-so-slightly within the danger zone at all moments of the fight.

Yeah his jab is a real weapon for him. It's been one of the best around in recent years.

Think you have hit the nail on head here. A lot of fans have a preference for that slick boxer style which GGG doesn’t have.

The style he does have is very effective for him and allows him to deliver powerful punches and KO/TKO many fighters. I would have thought people would have found that exciting but it doesn’t always seem to the case.

I actually wish he had changed trainers sooner as he had developed different nuances to his game which were interesting to see. He was actually using head movement and moving out the way of punches whereas he normally just allows himself to be hit.

Given his age and the fact there are some younger elite fighters coming through I am not sure if it these changes will work as well as they could have earlier on but hey guy has had an amazing career.

People that constantly criticise are people that are mirroring their own insecurities.

Like I tell all those guys, you're ****ing losers who live vicariously through a guy and care nothing for thr sport.

Even in this thread some of them had to make an appearance.

people criticise are just holding the people that champion golovkins career to a standard....you see, those same people criticise other fighters(some who are way more accomplished than golovkin) and hold them to high standards

golovkins "fans" have tried to tear down everyone from canelo, floyd, andre ward etc....yet when someone goes at golovkin they cry and make every excuse in the book....

golovkin is an excellent fighter....but hes not beyond reproach....not even close...and there are tons of holes in his career...yeah hes stopped alot of guys....and thats great...his style is mostly fan friendly...thats great....some arent impressed by him knocking out a guy like curtis stevens(who lost to legit D level club fighters)...some arent impressed he refused to even consider a ward bout....some arent impressed he never considered fighting lara.....some arent impressed he hasnt fought andrade when both are at DAZN and it should be easy to make.....its ok to question him....it doesnt make one insecure...i know thats the easy/convenient excuse

some of golovkins fans literally wont blame him for anything...they always point the finger the other way and blame everyone else.....

I agree, yeah. Lets just close the thread.
GGG has the best jab ever and that is final, nothing more to discuss.
