Mexican/Hispanic fighters always seem too eager to jump head in first to challenges taking any handicap to make it happen and 9 out of 10 times it backfires and all they accomplish is making their stock better (usually a black fighter too i.e LSC to Tank, Mikey to Spence, Marquez to Mawyeather, Canelo to Mayeather) and black fighters play the boxing game where they wait fighters out and get them when the time is right where they can aside them (tank brought up LSC before that he was gonna make his name off mares, spence benefited from Mikey being delusional, Mawyeather catch-weighted Marquez, Mayweather catch-weighted Canelo etc). I think there would be alot more great Mexican/Hispanic fighters if they followed that blueprint, the black fighters blueprint of just cooling down your eagerness for greatness and let that road pave itself, let those opportunities show themselves and take advantage of it.
Not always the case! Julio Ceasar Chavez fought a ton of bums before he stepped up his game! Mike Tyson fought a ton of bums too, yet he was HW Champion at 20! Ali was HW champion at 22! Hate him or not, but Tank whooped Pedraza and became champion @ 22!

Virgil Ortiz is a very good fighter, and I'd like to see a fight between him, and Terrance Crawford. Although I think he should get a few more fights, and experience before facing Terrance Crawford. It's great to believe in your abilities, but if you go running into a fight with Crawford to soon it can cost you your first loss.

          Very funny

With Oscar nobody will ever be great just one fight a year and retire early, he already ruined Canelo. Virgil should realize this and see he isn't fighting much and will never get to be great. Canelo use to fight alot and became great until Golden boy made him lazy golf player.

Vergil supposed to be feeling that way.

I still feel like he's 2 or 3 fights out from fighting a high level guy like Bud. And in 2 or 3 fights if Bud gets the fights he wants its likely Bud won't wanna come down to Vergil's level & he'll want his big money fights. So idk how likely it is. And it seems like a bad idea for next time out for Vergil. It wouldn't be a bad next fight for Bud doe if he's stuck with TR for another fight or two.

He supposed to feel that way but his management should look more to Ugas type fights for his next two outings. If he goes through them, he's ready. He needs to get active fast!

That be a great "step up" fight for Vergil. Riverside Rocky is always game, had Thurman out on his feet. Talked with him for a few out at fantasy springs, cool dude.

Crawford has a glass chin. Ortiz knocks him out.
