      2. Champion Oubaali now enjoys the designation of WBC World Champion “In-Recess.” That designation in no way diminishes the WBC’s recognition, or Champion Oubaali’s status, as WBC World Champion. In fact, the World Champion In-Recess designation elevates his status to a higher level by conferring to Champion Oubaali additional privileges he did not enjoy before.

Looks like Devin Haney never enjoyed those 'Champion-in-Recess' perks. Maybe if he ( Haney ) catches COVID, like Oubaali, he might be 'elevated' to 'Franchise' status too.

Sulaiman must not realize what a jackass he looks like everytime he does this.

That or he simply doesn't care.

Vitali Klitshcko defended his WBC Heavyweight Title 10 times in a row without loosing.

He became 'Eternal WBC World Champion' with status allowing him fight WBC champion anytime he decided to come back.

He proved he was the real champion by beating so called WBC champ (was that Nigerian Nightmare?). So hence next defenses should count as continuous period to previous fights.

Yet he isn't called 10 time successful champion defendant!

While Oubali has those privileges. Vitali, a legend who proved being a rock-iron mountain in heavyweight and NEVER been knocked down earned his right for special status WBC and proved it being earned again coming back from pause/retire with a win (8 more wins).
Who did Oubali fight to earn higher status?
