Comments Thread For: Canelo Alvarez-Callum Smith Clash To Land At Alamodome In San Antonio

The sport's leading attraction now has a home for his long-awaited ring return. Saul Canelo' Alvarez's upcoming showdown with unbeaten super middleweight titlist Callum Smith (27-0, 19KOs) has landed at The Alamodome in San Antonio, krikya360.com has learned. Wonder if there will be open scoring like the last time he fought there.

Ahh Texas. The home of where Whitaker got robbed blindly vs Chavez, where Malignaggi got robbed vs juan Diaz and Canelo was given an unimaginable 10 rounds to 2 advantage in his fight vs trout. Now we have Canelo vs a UK fighter. What could possibly go wrong?

I was at Canelo vs Trout at the Alamodome in 2013. Great event.
Too bad they won’t have a packed house. San Antonio rides for Canelo.

It's just that all remotely close rounds go to Canelo, which is in accordance with the rule In dubio pro-Canelo. So all good.

Ask Khan and Liam Smith. Those score cards were ridiculous. They were not needed.

I fondly remember how amazing that Trout fight was for atmosphere – a total star-making event – and a damn good fight in itself.
