Mayweather Promotions? More like Mayweather protection service.
Seems like Floyd hasn't learned his lesson.
Gervonta has already been surpassed by a younger Teofimo Lopez because of his and Floyd's ducking.
He could have had the Loma scalp but Floyd chose to protect him from Loma instead of unleashing him on Loma.
Mark my words, in two years, Ryan Garcia, Haney, and Teofimo Lopez will all have a better resume and bigger name than Tank.
And they will all be ranked much higher than cherry picking Davis in the ATG rankings. Davis might not even make ATG at this rate or even the HOF.

Gervonta Davis could've really been a superstar by now if Mayweather would've matched 3 years ago against Lomachenko, and the other elite fighters in his division. As it stands isn't the top fighter in 130, or 135, there are other fighters who would give him a tough fight, and others who are have a 50/50 chance of beating him. Mayweather definitely matched him more competitively in the past 3 years, since he Davis won his first title. Moreover what do you mean your not going to start calling out names? Your fighter is 24-0 (23 KO's), you/he can't play coy at this stage of your career. Other fighters are calling you out, and want to challenge your supremacy, so what the hell are you still waiting for. Tell them that your ready, willing, and able to take on all challengers. Otherwise you can't call yourself the top dog, or like Mayweather loves to say the A side. Speak up for yourself Davis you have more than enough skills to fight them all. Don't let Mayweather dictate to you, and make you a prototype of himself. He already has you dressing up in Mexican attire. He copied that from his uncle the late Roger Mayweather, who was known as the Mexican assassin. Until he ran into Julio Cesar Chavez, who knocked him out twice. Now he has you doing the same old, copy somebody else's style, like your style isn't good enough. Step up, and stand up for yourself Davis you can do this.

Roger is not only his uncle but was his trainer too. That's called inheritence or passing down of the torch so to speak, not copying.
Tank didn't copy it either. In the press conference after the fight Floyd said he loves Davis like his son and was as happy and proud of Davis as he gets when his children succeed.
Floyd is also the promoter of Davis and part time co-trainer and mentor.
Again, that's inheritence, not copying.
Get out your feelings mate.

Thanks for sharing your opinion Doubledagger, I understand were your coming from, but it's simply your opinion. I've never heard of an inheritance, when it comes down to a boxing outfit. Either it's your idea, or it's a copy cat of the original idea, and that was a good idea on Rogers part since they were calling him the Mexican Assassin, besides the Black Mamba. Floyd Mayweather took it a step further by fighting on El Cinco De Mayo, and on Mexican Independence Day September 16. Which was Oscar De La Hoyas original idea, which he used to capitalize on the Mexican fan base, and their days of celebration. That said don't fool your self Floyd is a self centered control freak. His former wife got him locked up for a couple of months, because of his abusive nature. He sees Gervonta Davis as a cash cow, not as a son, he just uses the family angle because it sounds better. There's no one more important in Floyd Mayweather's world than Floyd Mayweather. That's just a well known fact, just read the other comments on this site. Fans are tired of Mayweathers old antics, and repetitive theme's, nothing new just the same old movie. He's got something special in Tank Davis, but he's stunting his fighters growth.

Floyd gets the microphone and talks about his fighter and the haters have a problem. You can tell the casuals. They never have anything to say about boxing, just emotional expressions of their own inadequacies.
Promoting your fighter and stealing the spotlight are two different things, my man. I don't need to see Floyd's cars and jets plastered over an All-Access series.
I never said Floyd wasn't doing his job as promoter but the problem is, he STILL talks waaay too much about himself.
You don't see Eddie or Bob flashing their houses and cars while promoting their fighters. Now, we've seen Bob do things like buy his fighters houses and such, but Bob wasn't gloating about it.
You see it and others see it as well....Floyd loves the spotlight but I don't wanna see him, him and more of him when I'm BUYING fights that don't directly involve him.
I love what Floyd's done with his own career but most would argue that he's ruined parts of the sport with up and coming fighters.
And I'm NOT a casual fan....been a hardcore fan for at least 14 years. I've supported Floyd's career throughout but I can still have an opinion on what he's doing.
Hell, I've bought all of his fights sine 2006, watched every interview, defended his stance on the sport, etc.,....so calling me a casual does nothing but make you look foolish.

Further, doesn’t that show have a producer that determines what narrative they run. Its not all on Mayweather. Sadly, there are people who eat that crap up, so the producers and other Showtime folks ran it.

We had a 4-division champ in Santa Cruz and two-division champ in Tank to fill the time slot. Both guys have gone through enough to fill in a 20-something minute time slot.
You're right, Showtime does have a producer that drives the narrative for All-Access. I believe I remember Floyd being one of the producers of the show....at least during his stint at Showtime.
That may not be the case today but, if Floyd still has producer credits and all we see is him, his gym, his cars, his jets, etc....then what does that say?
I wanna see what Tank has to offer to his audience outside of knockouts (those are great by the way).
