I keep seeing Loma won 7-11, he really didn't.

He clearly lost the 7th round!

He lost the first 7 rounds decisively and he sure as hell lost the 12th, big. He was hurt several times and if it wasn't for the headbutt and the ref saving him he'd have likely got knocked down or out.

Lastly, there won't be a rematch but clearly Loma and Lopez are distantly the best LW's in the world. Loma drops to #4 P4P and Lopez makes his debut.

I think Lopez have a great potential. After Canelo declines as a boxer he's going to be the next pound for pound King.

Fair play to Lopez he talked the talk and walked the walk. Made the size difference tell and fought a great fight. Scorecards were a little wide imho but Lopez deserves the win.

Massive credit to Loma for taking on all comers in a weight division above where he should be. If only all boxers chased legacy like that. Hopefully Lopez becomes a big star now.

What a upset! lopez surprised me with such a good jab itwas fast and had very good timing was keeping lomachenko at range was working off that jab working on the body and lopez able to step around with lomachenko is also a big surprise and his counter is close to lomachenko but at the same time lomachenko was testing his jab to work off it as well at mid late rounds he was able to step off that jab and confused lopez and Lopez’s counter upper cut was avoided well lomachenko started to landing jabs combos off angles better timing and boxing iq didn’t surprise me but lomachenko started too late and his will or ability to take a punch from a jr middle weight on the body is very surprising Lopez’s speed and athleticism is matching lomachenko and his skill and ring iq lomachenko’s defense seasoned as always Lopez didn’t land a clean right hand like linares did some grazing shots and arm punches .anyways lopez really surprised me in this fight his leading and counter footwork only his defense still has space for improvement but I think he’d do well in the future . Although there’s some rough stuff in this fight but this is boxing.. lopez did a surprising job.lomachenko started a bit too late hope there’s a rematch down the line. Looking forward to lopez at welterweight. Great fight ，kudos to both of them.

There was an interview a while back where they asked Clarissa Shields about the fight.

She said that people who have only watched Teofimo since the pros would think that Loma has the better skills but that she had followed Lopez since the amateurs and knew that he actually can do all the things that Loma can because he used to fight like that in the amateurs.

She reasoned that he must have changed up his style for the pros so that he can get more KOs and be more entertaining but that she expected him to surprise everyone with his skills when he fights Loma.

I never forgot what she said and I been keeping it in mind since that interview.

I had a bit of doubt about what she said because, well, honestly, it looked like she was literally gonna go down on Lopez. She was brushing him and feeling him up all over his chest and shoulders as she spoke like she was tryna seduce him or something.

I honestly thought that maybe they were secret **** buddies or something. The content of the interview sounded legit but their behavior made it seem like there might be some...okay a lot of bias.

But I was wrong, she gave a correct and professional assessment in the end.

Agreed. There was a bad scorecard but under no circumstances or scenario can a case be made for Lomachenko winning this fight. At least not a credible one.
