    Jillian Whytes experience/supposed lack of..

He fought in MMA, he had over 20 kickboxing matches, a short amateur career, has 29 pro fights spanning a 9yr pro career and fought 4 former world champions and many contenders totting up 160 rounds.
He has sparred top, top HWs for almost a decade. He's sparred Fury, been in the Klitschko camps etc etc
He's 32, not 22 and in the prime of his life, he's not getting any better now.

I don't get why people keep echoing he's got little experience and all of this sort of talk like he's still a kid with a handful of fights.

This was nothing but a built in excuse people are running with & its being used to discredit Povetkin who in truth well past his prime, showed up and starched Whyte as decisively and as fairly as humanly possible.

I'm not sure Whyte even did an awful lot wrong he just got cracked plain and simple with a peach of shot he didn't anticipate.

He's been fighting his entire life, well, well over two decades. How can he be inexperienced, learning on the job still etc

He's not learning anything new aged 32.

    That is the end product.

Yeah I just thought he got hit with a peach.

      It happens.

He's a good heavyweight and he's been in some good fights and will be again.

Also it's a great win for an ageing Pov

Yeah, I wish Povetkin stated that he beat the best version of Whyte. Whyte wasn't only at his peak when Povetkin flattened him he was also arguably in his best physical shape. Notice how he fought as well, he fought smart and controlled against a very good fighter and he was able to land some good shots on him.

This is it kiddos, he is at his peak its just Povetkin figured him out. I don't think we need a rematch after this, he should earn his mandatory spot back by fighting guys below Povetkin. I'd understand the rematch clause being activated if it was a very close fight, but that wasn't the case he got put to sleep!

Also, I think Povetkin was starting to understand how to go about fighting Whyte. Round 1 and 2 Povetkin was having the better success then 3rd and 4th Povetkin tried to do more and Whyte adjusted nicely. Look at the knockdowns of Povetkin they weren't heavy the guy wasn't shook up it wasn't anything like when AJ put him on the floor.

Rematch will be easy work for Whyte.

It should be in Russia if a rematch is to happen, no place to dictate terms.

It doesn't matter where. It most likely isn't going to the judges.

His short amateur career is nobodies fault but his own. He lied about his kickboxing experience and he was beating the **** out of people who had never had an amateur bout in their lives.

He's a bully. He's the type of guy that would go 110% in sparring against someone who's back in the gym after an injury.

Yeah well said OP, I lost count of the amount of time the commentators and analysts were saying s*** like, 'he's still learning on the job' etc.

The commentators were on Whyte's nuts all night.

All boxers are learning on the job. The moment you stop learning......
