This was a great fight and I do like both guys. The two KDs were slightly concerning but they were mostly flash knock downs.
Povetkin has slowed, but you sure as hell know that Experience can overcome youth.
From the start, it looked like Whyte was lazy, missed the public workout, was reported to be sitting there just playing video games, switched coaches.
Povetkin always comes prepared and takes boxing seriously... he should not have taken it lightly.
I do think Whyte will take this KO seriously and should bounce back.

Everyone told me that Dillian Whyte was overrated. I don't know how I picked Whyte to win this fight. I really got this one wrong.
Congratulations to Povetkin on becoming the new interim WBC Heavyweight champion. He deserved it. Job well done!

I put the volume on mute, because 'I knew Povetkin was right in the fight'.
I am not sure why people are trying to make out 'That the knock-out came out of nowhere etc'.
Good well deserved win for Povetkin.

Hearn says there's a rematch clause, and Whyte at once demanded it after after he woke up.
Hopefully that means we get Fury vs Joshua if Usyk and Wilder are willing to step aside, that would make sense for both Usyk and Wilder as a fight against the Undisputed champion would be much more profitable than fighting Joshua now.Last edited by thereeldeel; 08-22-2020, 05:41 PM.

Whyte should have like 4 losses by now. He just got humbled.
If you’re on the fence, you’ll spend your life picking out splinters. Whyte should have had his shot. He took the risk and it backfired. It’s heavyweight boxing.
