Comments Thread For: Team Pfeifer Furious Over Being Pulled From Dubois Fight

Until the official announcement was made to inform him otherwise, Erik Pfeifer was convinced that he had a deal in place for a fight with Daniel Dubois. Instead, the fringe heavyweight contender will have to come to grips with the reality that his fate resided all along with the rumors he heard only through the media.

This is typical of Frank Warren, seen it many times. The old switcharoo... Did that many times with Naz, with Hatton, Khan, Chisora v Wilder etc.... Once tickets are sold he would switch the opponents last minute with the easiest opponents for his boxers.

Sounding like Dubois' people want a bigger payday before they submit to him being stretched out on the canvass. This is one of the nastier sides of boxing.

Typical Frank Warren doing his business. Disgusting. Pfeifer too dangerous, now bringing a pillowpunching bum.

It sounds pretty suspect. The issue with his MRI not being submitted in time is dubious. Not sure if they thought Pfeifer was potentially too dangerous or something else was afoot but definitely shady.

Same thing happened when Hearn paid Vada to tell Tyron Spong he had a dirty test to replace him with Witherspoon to keep Usyk safe

Somewhat different as there’s no public audience going to be attending so no tickets...

Yep agreed definitely different but same platform. Everyone was already hyped in regards to Pfeiffers amateur background and stories about who he has sparred, they spend weeks telling everyone how dangerous he is.... Then switch and kinda blame the opponents for some strange little things. Warren blueprint
