Kid is almost outgrowing the division, he can’t leave without fighting Plant first whether with a belt or not!

3 pounds!?! How long has he known about this fight?? He lacks the discipline necessary to remain at SMW

He's 23 should have no problem making weight, should have great metabolism. Not with this excuse at all it's unprofessional no matter how you slice it. I like David but come on.

Yeah he is never ripped but he looked softer than usual and I had been watching him train since the start he looked very heavy at the beginning of camp.

he had to know he wasn't going to make the weight. It's not a surprise when you miss by that much. I don't understand why all championship level fighters don't have a nutritionist during camp. Part of boxing is making weight. It's a job. No excuses.

Not a good look. Definitely ****ing on the door of 175 now. It'll only get more difficult for him to make 168 and if he does, it might affect him come fight night.

This is sad. I really want to like this kid, but he doesn't seem mature. Losing the same belt without losing a fight speaks a lot to his lack of discipline and character. Instead of being a weight bully, why not just move up to 175, which is probably his natural weight class? I get the impression these guys at 168 really don't fancy having to face Bivol or Beterbiev.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of David's. I think he's talented but not making weight because of coke and now because of pizza and burgers or whatever isn't good.

Most 168 guys want to remain at 168 because they really don't want to see Bivol or Beterbiev. Why do you think Canelo dropped his WBO 175 title so fast after winning it from the Russian alcoholic?
