Golden Boy ain’t here to showcase a Matchroom fighter (Haney) with a Sampson fighter (Fortuna) in one of the few cards they have on DAZN especially the main event. Preferably, Golden Boy will choose either Hector Tanajara one of their top prospects @ lightweight or Rocky Hernandez who is ranked #7 by the WBC @ 130 lbs but could move up to 135 lbs for this fight either one should be a good scrap.

On short notice I doubt Haney could make weight but that would be a good one.

Bummer. My guess would be Tanajara. I'd be very surprised to see any big names stepping up late notice pre-pandemic let alone in today's climate where purses are smaller because of the absence of a live gate.

Matchmaking has to be a real challenge in the covid environment.

I know I said I had covid and it was not a big deal/life threatening but one thing i’ll admit is that I could not work out while I had it. So I imagine a pro boxer and what they have to do to prepare for a big pro fight? No way, you can’t do it. I remember trying my best to workout and couldn’t get much done and i’m young and healthy with no underlying health issues.

I’m not a fan of Linares but hopefully he gets well soon.

I would rather Haney only cause he been talking chit about Loma and has the WBC.
Fortuna is a very good fight though so either guy.
Just be dissatisfied if its Verdejo.

He's not stepping in for a Golden Boy card. Hopefully Fortuna gets pulled from this so they can make that fight.
