Well guys, I gave it a try. I got a chance to fight earlier than expected.
They have not uploaded the video yet, but it will be up shortly as they are still uploading fights.
As you all know from my previous thread, I was listed at 5'5 202lbs, but when I was weighed on their scale, I weighed in at 196lbs.
Because of the weight, I had to fight in the heavyweight division and they put me up against a guy that was 6'4, weighed in at 245lb and was in good shape.
They were reluctant to match me up with him, but I said fkk it i'll fight him since just like me, it was also his debut fight.
At the start of the first round, I started out sticking and moving which was working surprisingly well. Even though his jabs were extremely heavy and some of them caught me and stunned me, I managed to avoid most of them by slipping them, quickly getting inside and going to the body.
Second round I was pretty tired because in the first round, every time he clinched, I lost a lot of energy and was easily getting pushed back into the fence until the ref had to come in and break it up. But I still stuck to the game plan of sticking and moving. I took a hard body shot with about 15 seconds remaining in the second round and had to take an 8 count.
Final round I was pretty much exhausted from all of the holding, clinching and power of his punches had taken it's toll, but he didn't seem tired at all which was surprising because I had been hitting him with quite a few good body shots that I thought I threw pretty damn hard.
Obviously he sensed that I was tired and hurt because he started fighting very aggressively. About two minutes left into the fight, he started using his size to force me up against the fence and turned it into a dog fight for the very first time in the entire fight. Started exchanging punches and I ended up getting the worst of it having to take another 8 count from another hard blow to the ribs.
Ref asked do I want to stop. I told him I'm okay when in reality I pretty much had nothing left and was hurting badly. As soon as the ref let the fight continue, I swear the entire crowd started clapping and cheering.
Only a minute left in the final round when he did the exact same thing. Forced me to the fence and started swinging wildly. Instead of of covering up, I exchanged with him again with a flurry of punches and managed to him a few more times.
After taking a few more hard punches in the final exchange, I couldn't throw anymore and covered up hoping to make it to the final bell and that's when the ref jumped in and stopped the fight.
My opponent started jumping for joy as he got his first win on streetbeefs.
Cong**** to him.
