If Leo is preparing to absorb Tanks power, I have to say that bodes poorly for Leo's winning that fight. When I read that, I immediately thought of Jose Pedraza fighting Tank in the pocket, trading punches. The only way Leo can beat Tank is if he establishes his range (he has a couple inches on Tank), controls distance and just boxes him. He definitely will not beat Tank by engaging in a slugfest with him.
I can see this possibly looking like the Jose Pedraza fight.

I keep saying, this is Mayweather vs Gatti all over again. Davis will dominate Leo and embarrass him. Remember when Floyd fought Gatti, and everyone in the media, boxing fans, current and former fighters and trainers were like Floyd will be in real trouble and he went out and totally dismantled Gatti in front of his own fans.

Six years and two divisions later, for the rematch against Abner Mares, Santa Cruz output a incredible figure of 2,115 punches.
In Leo Santa Cruz last campaign in his fourth weight ( 130 ) for 'TANKS' old belt, the World Boxing Association Super world Super Feather Title, Santa Cruz put out similar figures from his days as a 118 pound fighter, 1,273 punches.
Volume, heart, stamina are keys to victory for Leo Santa Cruz. Gervonta Davis has never faced such a relentless exerienced opponent in his whole career, remember Santa Cruz vs. Abner Mares has been candidate for FOTY. Leo is a seasoned veteran with a deep resume and a solid chin.
Dont underestimate 'El Terremoto' Santa Cruz. This is a closer fight than most are willing to admit.
This fight does have a chance to look like a Mike Tyson 80s match if Tank catches him early. But Tank looks TERRIBLE when he gases. And Santa Cruz doesn't really gas.
I don't see Santa Cruz having advantages per se, but if he avoids the bombs for just 9 minutes or so, going into round 4, Tank could be getting tired and frustrated and when that happens, he starts to look really bad a la Gamboa fight. It's likely going to be a crushing KO for Tank. But I won't be surprised if it's not

Total mismatch, doesn't matter who he spars. He is just too small for Davis. Am expecting a destruction here... Cruz is here to help Davis sell a PPV, getting his mexican/latino fans to buy, if they are really into their boxing then they would understand that their man has zero chance here. Fraud of a fight...

And the Pbc fighters I mentioned r babied and protected with their padded records.
