Sportsmanship is nice to have; admitting mistakes, a noble act. But those do not compose a championship formula. Essential is fire in the belly: a hunger to win and/or a stubborn refusal to lose.

It is part of a manager's job to light that fire. He can leave lauding sportsmanship to sports writers, majority of whom may not even bother to take pen in hand if all that can be written about a fighter is sportsmanship.

Get to work Mr. Gittelsohn! You have there a fighter whose head is visibly messed up! A trip to the Philippines may be good start, but don't bet on it becoming anything more than that.

For twelve rounds Villoria simply refused to fight. The question that needs a serious answer is, "Why?" You won't find the answer to that in any country; you'll find it inside Brian's head. That's where you should spend more time.
