Why not fight the biggest name in boxing for the same purse you would get fighting someone else?

    Because SD isn’t f**king ******?

Essentially your saying that he wanted 35 percent of Canelos 35 million (12.25 million)but ended up settling for 25 percent of Golovkins purse when he was actually entitled to 50 percent of Golovkins 20. Let’s just call it what it is Dereyvchenko took the Golovkin fight cuz he new he could beat him using the Canelo blueprint

If the Szeremeta fight went to purse bid, Szeremeta would get way less than $7 million.

Do you understand how purse bids work?

He declined it because the biggest name in boxing offered him the same purse as someone who isn’t the biggest name in boxing. He would have been ****** to take Canelo’s offer.

He is worth $7 million in a Canelo fight.

Have you looked at what boxing purses are right now?

Canelo’s last two opponents got twice that amount.

GGG got $14 million for fighting Steve Rolls.

Mikey Garcia got $7 million for fighting Jessie Vargas.

Luis Ortiz got $7 million for fighting Deontay Wilder.

          Go ahead and pretend it’s 1997 if you’d like but it’s 2020.

Well 155 is not the same as 147 and 159 is also not 147. You said Canelo and Cotto fought at 147 in 2014. Neither of them did. Canelo fought twice at 155 and Cotto once at 159.

                You were...wrong.

Why? Well because he wanted to defend a 160 pound belt at 155. So you’re wrong in every turn no matter how you skin it. You can’t call anyone a duck when the the opponent you’re putting high on a pedestal relinquishes the belt at the prime opportunity.
Canelo won MW title in 2015 in his fight against Cotto which took place at 155 (Cotto demand).

The WBC placed a 15-day negotiation period on Canelo GGG fight after the Cotto fight. I've actually never heard of something like that before in boxing. PPV fights take time and 15 days IMMEDIATELY after a fight is just a ****** timeline as fighters go on vacation after fights...not back to work.

And the fight couldve happened but GGG refused a catchweight. GGG offered Rosario a CW at 157, offered Ward a CW at 164, and fought Rolls at CW 164. So GGG DID do CWs but he was refusing for this fight.

And now GGG is fighting a literal nobody because Canelo wouldnt bend to GGGs prima Donna demands

                  Agreed 100% to it all.

GGG should have somewhat of a say so considering all that happened in the prev 2 x fights and in lieu of the coronavirus. It is what it is.

If he had beaten GGG (and he deserved the decision so he made the right choice) he could have gotten $20 million to fight Canelo the first time instead 5.

I never said Jacobs was a champion before he fought GGG.

                      You moved the goal posts.
