Having to deal with a lengthy layoff isn't anything new to Keith Thurman. Being able to use it to his advantage, however, is a potential game changer. The former unified welterweight titlist hasn't fought since a narrow points loss to legendary eight-division and reigning welterweight titlist Manny Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39KOs) in their thrilling title fight last July. The bout was Thurman's second of what was originally slated as a comeback year after having been out of the ring since unseating then-unbeaten Danny Garcia in their March 2017 title unification clash.
