... the ref in that fight was Eddie Cotton... who was a top ref back then -- he was officiating for Klitschko, B-Hop, Jacobs, Sturm, Stieglitz, GGG etc...

Tyson Fury was totally out of control and violating the rules from the first round vs. Steve Cunningham, perhaps roid-raging. Referee Eddie Cotton should of disqualified Tyson, another fight which controversy is present in the outcome of a Tyson Fury fight.

I share with the members of the boxingscene, a clip from the first round that shows Tyson showing complete disregard for the rules and a lack of respect for Eddie Cotton's authority : Tyson puts hands and shoves Cunningham after the bell.

This is assault, as you can tell Eddie Cotton understood the infraction by pushing Tyson back to his corner, but Eddie Cotton like the other refs dropped the ball here ; Cotton should of at least took a point away from Tyson, maybe that would of prevented the illegal tactic of Tyson using his forearm to KO Cunningham.

We need strict officiating for Tyson Fury, he has got away with too much!

just listened to it, steve raised some fair points, fury did cheat according to the rules. in boxing though, you basically have to bite someone's ear off for the ref to DQ you. its a weird sport where rules are enforced less than #1 of the time
