A look back. Salido was a dirty cheating overweight POS against Loma.

Salido was a dirty cheating POS who not only didn't make weight, but also rehydrated 20lbs like a cow.

The ref was an even bigger POS. He should have ripped his own eyes out and throw them in the trash that night, because he certainly did not use them.

With the number of low blows that Salido landed on Loma, he could have started his own sterilization and preemptive ******** clinic.

And to all you Salido defenders saying that he gave Loma an L, well in the end Loma made Salido his bitch in the 10th, 11th and 12th, and Salido DID NOT leave that arena with a world title belt, and was never a champ since, so his W is worth nothing.

    There. End rant.

if a fighter doesn't make weight it should be no contest

He gave Lomachenko a serious lesson in acclimating to the pro game and he's better now for it.

Loma has a loss. So what? Doesn't matter.....

        - -Yep, yet another black eye for boxing and idiot fans.

The deal was that no way was boxing going to allow an amateur to win a title in his 2nd bout.

I'd rather focus on Loma's next fight and when. It's mid-March already. When is the Lopez fight gonna happen?

With Salido, Loma lost. Move on. Excuses after the fact don't work.

I totally agree, except for the last line. Having a loss does matter when it comes to advertising and promotion, especially to fringe fans which are who they want to attract. Loma should be “The undefeated Champion with a style yet to be solved? Floyd wasent the most exciting, but the fact that he was undefeated made people want to see if tonight would be the night. I’m not saying it’s a huge deal, but the more wins he gets the more annoying that loss will be. As time goes by a loss is a loss and the details of it fade. I mean fans know Salido missed weight paid the fine, got away with as much as he could without getting DQd, but Loma didn’t have an answer for it either. As far as legacy it will matter, as far as marketing it matters. It’s unfortunate. Loma wasent young either, just new to pro boxing. But like u said, maybe it makes Loma hungrier, harder, focused, and he’s better than he would’ve been. I like Loma, he seems like he can be a bit of a dismissive jerk sometimes, but he has the skills to make u understand why. I hope this Teofimo fight comes off. I see Loma being a bridge too far, but I hope it’s interesting and nail biting the whole time.

Loma was still expected to win that fight though

                Good analysis. Green K.
The only thing I take issue with is the bridge too far thing.

Salido was a weak cherrypick that backfired.

Salido never did have the balls for a rematch
It was Loma’s transformation in that fight which was amazing
How he went through it all to make Salido his own by the end of the fight
He became the boxer he is today and more
