Steward is only saying that to blow his own horn. He's got a little bit of an ego. He's saying all that crap because ever since Steward has taken over Wlad is 3-0, albeit against decent opposition.
Oh yeah, and Wlad is clumsy, and slow as hell on his feet. I don't blame him because the guy is 230 lbs but he aint exactly the most agile athlete in the world.
It's funny, though, just the other day I was thinking to myself how Wlad would stack up against the all time great heavyweights, and I can't imagine him beating a single top 15.
Ali by KO, Fraizer by KO, (Prime) Tyson by KO, Holyfield by KO, Patterson by KO, Liston by KO, Lewis by KO, Holmes by KO, Louis by KO, Marciano by KO, and Foreman by death.
I seriously could not imagine Wlad standing up to any top heavyweight of the past. He couldn't deal with their punches. They would all hit him more than once, and they all had great power, and above that, everyone one of them (minus Lewis), had a great chin (but Lewis had incredibly tight defense to make up for his lack of a chin, thus he hardly ever took a solid shot). Now, maybe you dispute the Tyson one, but think about it: Wlad comes out and he's putting pressure on Mike, and Mike's doing his classic bob and weave. He gets hit with a few and then unleashes a left hook, BAM, lights out for Wlad. Tyson had precision punches back then, and would, without a doubt, have hit Wlad with more than one, because Wlad is not that good on his feet... not good enough to stay away 12 rounds.. ****, Sam Peter was catching him, and he sucks compared to every single one of the guys I mentioned. No doubt Tyson would beat him.
If Wlad had Vitali's chin, THEN one could make an argument for him, but he doesn't, so they can't.
You may be pushing it on some of those..
some fighters were just too small for the 6'6 with a crazy offence...
Forget his chin.. like he gets hit that often..
i.e. Wlad would just Jab Fraizer to death...
could you hook me up with some more bad karma please?
youre the only one that gives it to me on this whole forum
i think youre about due.
lol,,you should have known a thread like this would bring the jealous haters out in drones. they get all worked up when anything positive about the klits comes out,,,espescially from professionals like manny steward
I like Wlad but stating that he is the perfect or putting him as one of the best HW of all time is an overstatement. The guy got knocked out by Brewster and Sanders (who were not considered the best HW). Peter also put him out. He is a good HW but not a dominant force until he fights the current top HWS in the division which Shannon Briggs is clearly not.
Remember in one of his fights? with Brewster i think, commentator said he thinks Wlad is a perfect fighter, You just wonder if he has a weakness... after a couple of rounds, the world found out!!! lolz...
If Wlad is so great then why is it taking him so long to get back into the ring since his victory against Byrd? I think an 8 month layoff after a relatively easy fight does nothing to promote his "greatness."

To anyone with about an ounce of common sense the thought of wlad being, at this point in time anywhere near the greatest or finest is obviously and clearly a bull**** statement.
THe fact that so many in this thread bothered to reply dismissing what Manny said is sad as ****.
No **** hes far from greatest anything at the moment.
This being so painfuly obivous I cant help my self but to laugh at the idiots who actually bothered with big replies saying how he isnt. As if you all got some ****ing insecurity about the guy.
