I think Wilder believes it, and sure he studidly wore that suit, but this is the worst excuse in the history of big fights. His legs aren't that strong it seems. Look at firefighters, those guys do gruelling exercises with much heavier gear than what Wilder had on. Apparently Fury's trainer said Tyson himself came in the fight with bad injuries, and look how he did. Fury was sensational and better, that's it. Wilder has to, this late in his career, learn to throw a consistent jab, combinations and get some good fundamentals because the big right hand won't always be enough.

Wilder wanted to go out like a Spartan on his shield, the problem is those shields are big and his little legs couldn't carry the shield into battle in the first place.
