Comments Thread For: Wilder's Managers Expect Third Fight With Fury To Happen Next

LAS VEGAS Deontay Wilder's co-managers expect that he'll exercise his contractual right to an immediate third fight against Tyson Fury. According to terms of the two-fight contracts Wilder and Fury signed last year, Wilder is owed a third bout versus Fury without any bouts for either boxer between their second and third encounters. Wilder has 30 days from the night of his seventh-round, technical-knockout defeat to Fury to exercise that contractual right.

    Very bad decision..
Wilder needs a match against Whyte, he would knock out him easily.
After the Whyte-fight Wilder should fight against Joshua

Don't think it's going to happen.. Unless the brown bomber is looking to retire.

He obviously can't beat Fury. 0-2 against him. He could probably beat Joshua. Should go for Joshua next

Wilder would be walking away from too much money if he doesnt take the rematch. He is guaranteed 40%. If he takes another stoppage beating then its time to retire.

Of course! Too Much Money to be made not to take the immediate rematch. Even if he lose it would be worth securing your Families Future

Wilder s aura been destroyed. Fury might have paved way for others to beat wilder now.

Wilders, like Mike Tyson when he lost to buster, aura has gone. Fury paved way for others. I'd pick Josh to beat wilder also

I think Wilder and his team know by now that he can't beat Fury (or at least it's very unlikely), but from a business standpoint what else can he do? At 34 and with the way his stock has dropped severely from last night, this is about the only big money fight he can feasibly get. He may as well take it since it's his only possible route back into the big picture and if he loses he can comfortably retire with a nice pay cheque.

If money wasn't a factor, no way would Wilder take a third fight with Fury. I think that more than physically, he's too psychologically damaged to step into the ring against that same man again with any semblance of self-confidence whatsoever.

I agree with some people here, take the immediate rematch for your family, especially when Arum is saying if he doesn’t take it, the opportunity may not be there to fight Fury again. Fighters go through all those grueling training camps, restricting their bodies, absorbing punches in the ring, and risking their life in ring for many years. Wilder owes that to his wife, children, and family to take advantage of the rematch contract clause. Although, Fury would beat Wilder a 3rd time, you never know so you take that fight and not risk losing it forever and the kind of money a 3rd fight with Fury would earn for his family.
