Same here... unless the fix was in that he'd face Floyd next prior to the Berto fight. Still a big stretch!

I guess everyone is using the Al Haymon school of not revealing all their boxers purses. Right?

I agreed with the original post until I read yours. You’re absolutely right. The money is coming from somewhere, so somebody is willing to pay him. Good for him. He deserves it. F*** fighting at a discount !

The difference here is gbp is building up Ryan but the youtubers came with a built in following. I wish folks wouldn’t let their emotions get in the way of breaking down business. It’s why Floyd was able to get millions doing one wrestling event, same for *****..bringing new eyes is the value
But Ryan has like 5 million followers so he has a follwing

How many of those are already boxing fans? We are talking about non boxers with an audience that knows they are rich as fk already but will sit there with their disposable income donating to a live stream on twitch..those people watch twitch, YouTube, and wrestling. You think neckbeard tim from Maine With the anime fetish is going to watch boxing unless one of these you tubers is fighting? Now, but hey while we got you tim maybe we can impress you and make you a fan. It’s the same way the business world works, every company is willing to spend x amount of dollars per potential customer acquired or for x amount of time spent showing potential customers the brand. I burned $7 per first time customer in my business, insurance companies are willing to burn 2-3 hundred bucks per..I have no idea what dazn figures as a burn rate but they have one...and that’s where these events come from. It’s called lifetime value each of us has one for every business we purchase from..in your lifetime you are going to spend x amount of dollars on category x product. If I can nab you I can assign a lifetime value to that and go raise money with it as part of a business model as well. Your phone company has this, your supermarket has this, credit card company, insurance, car maker and the list goes on.

Yip, true that. Even manny pacquiao came to al haymon after being robbed blind by bob arum

Garcia worth that, almost as absurd as only 30 paid to Fonseca. That's one way to unmotivate your opponent.
