Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia To Make $250,000, Fonseca $30K, Linares $100K

Ryan Garcia will make a guaranteed purse of $250,000 to fight Francisco Fonseca on Friday at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. krikya360.com obtained documents filed with the California State Athletic Commission, which shows that Fonseca will earn $30,000 in a fight that will stream on DAZN.

Thats a good purse for the quality of opponent that kid is fighting. Fonseca poses no threat whatsoever, he's just one of those guys who isn't particularly good at anything - no power, no defense, no great speed - just a durable walking punching bag. Sucks but sometimes the sport needs his type.

Don't pay these kids the big bucks til they step up competition otherwise they get spoiled and make bigger fights harder to make.

Is his pay commensurate with the value he adds to the card? Why should a man get paid less than he’s worth?

Fonseca should be entering that ring with a lot of rage. They did him dirty.

Ryan is an internet star like Jake Paul and them. Why isn't he making what they're making. I guess internet star/pro boxer < internet star

Can’t believe somebody calling himself Deontay wilder believes a commission purse. I guess u believe Deontays purse for the first fury fight and the Ortiz fights too then.

Dude..Ryan’s fans are boxing fans and some women. Logan, ksi, and the rest of them are bringing people who don’t necessarily care about boxing. Ryan is also on his first contract...his deal is close to expiring and he’ll make way more than they do. The difference here is gbp is building up Ryan but the youtubers came with a built in following. I wish folks wouldn’t let their emotions get in the way of breaking down business. It’s why Floyd was able to get millions doing one wrestling event, same for *****..bringing new eyes is the value
