At least there cutting through the politics and going to the essence of the sport eg the best fighting the best.I know there doing it to bolster their country's image and using sport as a medium for that .I can still only admire the way they want the big fights and hopefully it turns Joshua's and Eddie Hearns head.Hence glory of the sport comes first then money second. But both go loosely hand in hand I feel. One without the other wont work.I remember reading a while back a football man through and through Harry Redknapp saying roughly the same eg the best players will always come to the fore.Hence ability always rises to to the top.Its nice to see the Saudis pushing this through as well albeit with plenty of money.

Who knows maybe mega fights featuring US boxers will follow, the Saudi's have more money than anyone.

... those not involved with Haymon, maybe... Haymon will not undermine the U.S. boxing market environment...

It also doesn't really effect the UK PPV holding it in Saudi at 9pm UK time..... I can see why the site-fee and UK PPV makes business sense.

Will have to be after Fury completes his contract with TR though, unless Bob is true to his word about bringing his fighters to other countries.... but not sure if the contract is more TR or ESPN.

He's an idiot if he holds that fight in Saudi. It would probably be the biggest British fight of all time.

Hearn is only bothered about his own pocket don’t be fooled. This direction he wants is ok for the very few elite and rich boxers but the real fans suffer as these major fights should be in the real atmospheric stadiums throughout the world where they are truly appreciated not in some backward country that hasn’t got a clue what they are watching

I agree but if it takes the Saudi billions to get the fight over the line when both boxers are in their primes then so be it.

True. And what else is funny is that is exactly what Hearn was saying about Wilder v Joshua a couple of years ago when he was offered 50m.

“yea the offer is real, but the UK fans deserve the fight so we’re passing”

Now his tune has changed. Lol. What a loser.
