    Anthony Joshua asked a question.........

Does anybody know the answer to it?

The question was what makes Wilder or Fury worth a 50-50 split against Joshua. Joshua knows hes the sports cash cow right now, he knows his numbers are dwarfing the likes of Wilder, Fury or any Heavy in the division, or any Boxer from any division apart from Canelo. He understands that he may have to dish out 50-50 to get these fights but he cant figure out why some people think both those guys are deserving or worth 50%

The stats, the facts and the figures show us that Joshua is the 2nd biggest cash cow in the sport behind Canelo. Those 2 are fighting on a whole higher level than any other fighter in the sport. Canelo isnt dishing out 50-50 to anybody and nobody is even complaining about it. Nobody complained when Money Floyd wasnt giving 50-50 in any of his fights when he was the cash cow either. I can go on and name cash cow after cash cow never giving 50-50 to their opposition.

So can anybody tell Anthony Joshua why he should be giving 50-50 to Wilder whose last fight bombed big time, Or Fury whose numbers were even worse than Wilders?

The winner of Fury/Wilder will be undefeated, WBC, ring and lineal champion, consensus #1.

That fact totally obliterates Joshua's leverage..... neither need to beat Joshua to gain those honours after his bad KO loss to Ruiz.

If Joshua didn't lose then the ring wouldn't be up for grabs..... that loss put Joshua down to #3 in the division, unfortunately for him.

Joshua might be the money man of the division, but he isn't the top dog any more.

Undefeated? Thats a new one. Canelo isnt undefeated, Lewis, Tyson werent undefeated. Joshua was defeated when he just broke records. Wilder was undefeated when his fight bombed. I dont see how undefeated changes anything. Wilder and Fury are undefeated (although Fury beat Wilder) but they doing numbers not even close to defeated Joshua. So what does it matter?

Joshua carrying more popularity, more belts, more PPV sales, More ticket sales. Wilder and Fury are undefeated but do crap numbers.

They probably deserve 50% but business wise it doesn’t make sense, the numbers definitely don’t add up

AJ won’t need to worry about Wilder , Fury will take his belt .

You have two problems here it’s Arum and Finkel ,maybe Warren to,but these guys are stopping the AJ fight from happening ,however Fury generates more globally then a Wilder ,it will be easier to make if Finkel is eliminated from the situation .

It matters greatly when trying to make fights....... Joshua lost badly, slipped down in ranking..... Fury and Wilder are 1 and 2 in the division, and rightly so.

Edit: also Joshua makes way more vs the winner than against Pulev, Usyk or Whyte..... 50% vs Wilder or Fury will be more than 70% vs Pulev for example. Joshua is a bigger draw but fighting Fury/Wilder winner makes more than any one else, to discount that is disingenuous to say the least.

#1 vs #2 , ring, lineal, WBC HW chamion of the world to the winner.

Joshua needs to beat the winner to ever be considered the top guy..... he needs to pay them 50% or be stuck in limbo fighting mandatories, his three belts actually mean nothing now.

Way of the world I am afraid. No one is arguing that Joshua brings the cash, or isn't the cash cow.... unfortunately he got TKO'd and slipped back to #3, allowing Fury and Wilder to pick up the ring belt.

If Joshua wants to fight the #1 WBC, ring and lineal champion, he has to cough up lol

That last bit i totally agree with. He may have to give 50% to get these fights. But at no point does that mean Fury or Wilder are worth it.

If either of them was getting even close to the money AJ is, if either of them were selling tickets or PPV's in the numbers AJ is then thats one thing. But stalling for 50% and deserving 50% are 2 different things.

Very true. Unless the PBC are willing to cough up a massive guarantee for Joshua to fight on their network there is no way this fight is happening. This is beyond the fighters this is about Finkel and Haymon. They are not prepared to allow Wilder off their network but are not prepared to cough up like DAZN and Sky are willing to cough up. So we are left with Finkel and Haymon talking Wilder out of taking any fights offers from Joshua.

50% against the winner makes Joshua more money than any other fight.

No point in arguing over splits and money, this has been going on for years. You don't think Wilder or Fury are worth it.... I believe everyone makes money and the fans win, no one is getting shafted, everyone makes loads of cash.

No point in crying over 10% either way, they all make more money than any other fight they can make.

The winner of Fury vs Wilder is still undefeated, and technically number 1 on merit within the heavyweight division.
