Comments Thread For: Jaron Ennis: This Is The Year Everyone Will See I'm An Elite Fighter

By Keith Idec - ATLANTIC CITY Cameron Dunkin figured he'd have little trouble finding a ranked welterweight willing to fight Jaron Ennis on Friday night. Ennis' promoter was afforded about twice as much money from this Showtime license fee to find an opponent than he was for the 22-year-old Ennis' previous appearance on that premium cable network...

Really looking forward to what Boots brings to the table.
Hopefully he's all that's been talked about and more.

He looked good against Demian Fernandez but Fernandez isn't even a C level guy

$350,000 to have your career derailed isn't much - loosen the purse strings. If he's as good as Roy Jones surely some network can get behind him and push hard? This is when HBO's demise can be lamented

Would love to see a WBSS tourney for WWs like Ennis, Ugas and some of the eastern europeans.

Boots needs Josesito Lopez, Jamal James, or Omar Figueroa Jr.! After that, Top Shelf only! Let's Go!

I imagine Dunkin not doing so hot these days he has to hyperbole up the wazoo for this guy who hasn't fought his first d-level opponent yet.

Brian Ceballo, who is a failed d-level guy himself who got dropped twice by a spanish dishwasher, clowned Eyubov.

And this is supposed to be some “showcase”
              Some mighty feat here.

Eyubov is the only one brave enough to accept the purse.

The other 25 guys on the list didn't want none.

2019 was Vergil Ortiz break out year, this year 2020 I do think it will be Boots Ennis as long as Cameron Dunkin and Showtime is able to get him to right fights to showcase his talents

All that build up sound great but

To be honest h hasn’t fought anyone and this guy tonight is short and one demential so we already know what to expect. I want to see him beat someone good and with raw talent before I say he as good as they want us to believe. The welterweight division is hot and talented and he’s not ready believe what I’m saying. I see talent but no special effects like Sweet Pea, Trinidad, Oscar, Mosley or evening Oba Carr in his hat day! Make me a believer and fight someone we know and not a guy coming off a dam loss and a draw. Really!

                    I’m just saying
