Eddie Hearn wants DAZN to charge $50/mo

Does he have a say in that?

Does he have a say? Probably not much here to be honest. And I think the point Hearn was making was put a huge monthly price to kind of force people to choose the yearly option. Honestly? I'm with it. If you are going to pay $20 bucks a month for a particular fight, then you probably will pay $50 for it. If not, you probably still end up making just as much with the higher price point even if you lose some single month subscribers. And possibly encourage some to sign up for the yearly plan.

    Do it DAZN!

I hope not, I would not pay that much. I purchased a yearly subscription for $100, no way I'll pay $50/month.

I don't see how he would have a say in that.

What Hearn was talking about was trying to incentivize people into buying the $100 yearly subscription instead of the occasional $20 per month here and there.

“I’m actually going to say to DAZN, ‘I think you should bump the monthly fee up.’ It’s $19.99 a month. Make it $50 a month. We don’t want you to come and go. We want you to stay and be a part of this community, learn more about boxing, digest the fighters, and grow with us,” said Hearn.

But of course it will be taken completely out of context......

he said this in an interview, i think either after the ksi fight or the aj-ruiz fight..however it was said at least 3 weeks ago.
no, he wasn't dead serious in the context he said it in. he tends to just say **** in the moment tongue in cheek. Even so, the context is still about encouraging the annual subscription over the one time only $20.

Moving to $19.99 a month was a good call for this very reason. I wonder if a bump to $24.99 would be even better. Hard to envision going higher than that though.
