Why did Hopkins immediately go to 160 after losing his first fight at 175?

I've been trying to find information on the fighter he lost to, but wasn't able to find anything. I do see that it was at 175, but right after that he has been fighting at 160. Why is this?

He didn't, there was like a year and a half between his first 2 fights and he weighed 166 for the second one.

      Simple

      Joe Calzaghe

He beat Hop at 175 and he would beat him at 168

... for sure: that's why it was a 4 rounder fight...

I recall bhop stating in an interview that after the loss, he realized that he had to get his life in order. So he cut out all the junk in his life and started to dedicate himself to boxing.
