Santa Cruz vs. Mares II

Alvarez vs. Golovkin II

Wilder vs. Ortiz II

Joshua vs. Ruiz II

Charlo vs. Harrison II

Given the outcome and with hindsight...the least needed was Wilder vs Ortiz. Basically same result. Most needed was Golovkin vs Alvarez given the closeness of the fight and the controversy that followed. Nobody really "needed" a Joshua vs Ruiz rematch although plenty wanted it. That was more of an AJ fans desire for him to get the belts back vs the people who wanted to see Ruiz remove him from the division. No one would have cried if they didn't rematch and Ruiz had gone on to unification with Wilder.

some of those fights happened in 2018 not 2019 but boxing moves so slow so i dont blame you. wilder-ortiz 2 was obviously pointless and everyone knew it wold flop, and it did

I think there was a big divide between the "freak upset" crowd and the "point proven" bunch.

Plenty were adamant Ruiz wins again comfortably. Others wondered whether it was a Buster Douglas moment.

Turned out very much a Buster Douglas moment.

I wonder what would have happened if Tyson managed to get an immediate rematch?
