It’s sad because Harrison’s adjustment from the first fight was spot on. He made it an inside fight, backed Charlo up and was winning convincingly. Once he stopped pressuring Charlo the fight changed

To me, there really is no debate about whether or not it was a good stoppage- Harrison even acknowledged as much by not contesting the stoppage in the post fight interviews.

We got some TV friendly refs tonight, they let the action go in many cases. Each fight had some drama
That 2nd knockdown was pretty vicious, I thought he was done but he rose in one motion (maybe some help from the ropes). Thought Reese gave him enough time to show something...don't really take issue with people who think that if he let him get up from that kind of knockdown, why stop it without him taking some flush shots at the very end. I think he gave him to time to PUNCH BACK and not just be defensive, he didnt see that so he pulled the plug. I thought it was a good stoppage

Harrison exposed him last fight, so his game plan for this fight was to do the exact same thing, and he got completely outboxed and picked apart until the KDs

Those (3) fights including tonight, Hurd, Nelson, & Charlo (2), were all winnable fights that he could have won before being stopped late. In all (3) fights, Harrison boxed very well but let his focus and defense slip. He could be an undefeated.

No problem with the stoppage, should've called it after that Nasty Uppercut that snapped Tony head back
However the Charlos are too high on their power and don't seem to be able to grasp the fact that they won't always be able to drop an opponent with one clean shot, sometimes you have to work for the kos and stoppages. Even Mike Tyson and Deontay Wilder haven't stopped every opponent.

I commented based on seeing the instant replay a few times before the stoppage. None of those punches were really landing flush but all it takes is one like Charlo connected with on the first two knockdowns to put Harrison asleep for good. Also, Harrison’s reaction with the ref suggested he was trying to weather the storm to make it through the last 30 seconds. But he conceded afterwards that the ref did his job.
