I like Canelo, but no way in hell he fights Beterbiev. He stalked and walked through punches from a much bigger and capable boxer in Gvozdyk.

Canelo is smart and knows that's an unrealistic fight.

      wow

Bivol gets thoroughly outboxed and Beterbiev only has a punchers chance

The 6'0" pure boxer Bivol gets thoroughly outboxed by the smaller Canelo? Even Kovalev was racking up rounds by boxing the much smaller Canelo until he finally caught him.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not..it's been years since I've posted here lol.

Canelo knew what he was doing verse Kovalev, just as he knew what to do verse GGG.

you're probably one of those people who think "but but Wilder was getting out-boxed until he knocks them out"

Bivol is not all that impressive, I'm sorry. Beterbiev is a dangerous fight which I don't see Canelo taking but who knows

I never understand the consensus among most "fans/posters" on these boards. At the elite level there are RARELY KOs. Even in elite fights involving weight changes...

            See Spence/Mikey, Canelo/GGG, Canelo/Floyd, Floyd/JMM,

If the larger fighter is the FAVORITE is stopped it's almost ALWAYS from going DOWN in weight...Ward/Dawson, DLH/Pac, RJJ/Tarver, etc...that is why so few fighters go DOWN in weight.

Beterbiev would find it much harder to hit Canelo than any of his previous opponents and Beterbievs body would be tested. Body shots sap stamina from fighters because they make your legs weak and truthfully make it tough to MOVE. That is why a universal technique against PUNCHERS is to go to the body

I don't think we disagree on Canelo knowing what he was doing against Kovalev. I'm talking about Bivol and how being outboxed by a much bigger fighter with a chin is a very likely outcome.

Regarding Wilder, I'm not sure what your point is. Many times he has been losing on the cards until he KOs his opponents. That happened with Fury even though it was a draw, and likely will result in a loss in their rematch.

I have no dogs in these fights. Just giving my observations.

Canelo is not afraid of any fighter. Anyone from 160 to 175 can get it.

I agree. I don't think Canelo is scared of anyone. That's what makes him a great champ. I'm saying he knows intuitively that Beterbiev is a different beast from Kovalev.

Question what will the excuses be? Who will be the next "boogieman"

                    Canelo out here making history!
The Breast by Slaughter! GB would never do that to Nelo, not until the Beast ages another 5+ years
