Comments Thread For: Joshua: It's As Much About Being Smart As About Knockouts

Anthony Joshua realizes why almost all boxing fans love knockouts. Joshua just feels it's as important sometimes to box smartly as it is to attempt to take out an opponent. That was particularly true during Joshua's immediate rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr.

He outran a fat man, now he's a boxing genius. He was scared of getting KOd, so he took to his heals and that's smart. Its better for them to say there he goes, than to say there he lays. The problem is, smart isn't scaring anybody. If fear put him on his bike for Andy, he'll need a motor cycle for Wilder and Fury slaps him into submision.

The same people upset that AJ didn't give away his advantages and fight up close with a shorter fighter with fast hands would be clowning AJ if he lost again.

Do you, and never listen to these grown up babies.

A 300lb ball of fat, it was such bad optics, I was watching the fight at a bar and heard so many comments about it being pathetic, most people lost interest by round 6.

I said this is what he had to do to win and he did it, I just didn't think he had the stamina to pull it off, but he did it, good job, after the loss he immediately went to training while ruiz was eating drinking and being merry!

I'd swear that's Joseph Parker talking and not Anthony Joshua!

Wlad got hammered by Sanders and reverted to the jab and grab. This is what we'll see moving forward from now.Joshua knows he's fragile like Wlad was around the wiskers and will now take few chances .This is music to the accountants ears he fights for but the fans will suffer even more!

Wilder v Fury 2 Wilder by KO ...he's unstoppable
Wilder v Joshua Wilder by KO.....under six rounds
Joshua v Usyk who cares the cruiser weight was good at cruiser but hasn't proved ANYTHING with the big boys....just how the Hearn's like it!

A 300lb ball of fat that would knock every guy in that bar out if he caught them flush with one punch.

This is why casuals ruin the sport.

The same people saying this clown put on a masterful boxing performance are the same people who accused Mayweather of running even though he stood in the pocket 90% of the time. This wasn’t a prime Mike Tyson that he was fighting it was Andy Ruiz 283 pound Andy Ruiz and the clown fought scared

Wilder couldn't knock Fury at his worst out and literally lost every round of the fight where most pundits admit it was a stitch up n Fury dominated.....

Fury has gotten better since, worked in his training and improved his fitness from the stress of being 400lbs and taking coke put him through.

What's Wilder done since? Rematched a man who was 10 years too old the first time they fought and got outboxed in every single round.

Wilder has one thing going for him: Power. The type of Power we haven't seen since Tommy Hearns but lacks the amateur pedigree of Hearns and trainers like Emmanuel.

If Emmanuel had Wilder from 14+ we'd probably be watching the greatest heavyweight of all time but alas he didn't and we aren't.

Wilder beats everyone not named Fury. Joshua is the gatekeeper to the #3 spot.
