I predicted this exactly. As long as AJ made it a boring fight, he'd win easily against the Mexican Butterbean. Ruiz is a lazy hombre who doesn't take his craft seriously. Adios amigo - your 15 minutes of fame are done.

Looked just like I thought it would. Ive said for a long time Joshua doesnt need to be heavier than 235. He got humbled in the first fight and Ruiz got rich. Those were the main factors here. If they fight again it wont look much different. The people saying Wilder blasts this version of Joshua out should be ignored to be honest. A constantly moving AJ will have Wilder resetting all night and people also forget AJ can ****. I dont think Wilder takes those right hands Ruiz did plus Wilder isnt as big a threat at close range as Ruiz. Obviously if Wilder lands the howitzer its probably over but the blueprint to beat Wilder is pretty simple but hard to maintain for 12 rounds when you have someone that can turn your lights out at any moment.

So many wilder boys crying like a baby....
And for that brother that his father wanted to stake his life savings of $80k on Ruiz to win, I hope you were able to convince him not to, if not, he should be on suicide watch.
AJ boxed according to plan. Smart and effective.
And hez 2X Unified HW champion on the world. Something many have been dreaming of.

Cong**** AJ you just showed me you're not one of the greats tonight.

Lmao I can just picture the greats sitting at home watching that and saying to themselves good lord that's the heavyweight champion with 4 belts?!?! A guy who ran all fight from an out of shape short fighter?? yeaahhhh

Lol @ people on here that are mad that AJ fought his own gameplan and didn't go off and trade with Ruiz and risk getting ko'd again. You know nothing about thos sport. Winning is all that matters and that wad brilliant. AR never stood a chance

Don't know why some are complaining from AJ's performance. He showed that he has depth and can train to maintain a disciplined style for 12 rounds. Ruiz was not in enough shape for AJ to go to a next gear.
