Comments Thread For: Joshua: I'll Definitely Be Beating Ruiz To The Punch Tomorrow!

Andy Ruiz weighed a whopping 283.7lb for his heavyweight title rematch with Anthony Joshua at Friday's weigh-in, having piled on 15lb since he won the title from Joshua in June. Ruiz, who wore a sombrero to the stage, had posted videos early in his training camp for the fight claiming he had slimmed down, but there were no signs of any weight loss when he arrived in Saudi Arabia and rumours on Wednesday said that he would be "the same of a bit higher".

Not sure how an extra 15 pounds is going to help Andy. He should have come in at the same weight as in the first fight, not heavier.

He already said he expects Joshua to move around more so how does being heavier work in your favor?

Either this is bad strategy or Andy didn't train like he was suppose to.

What the f.uck did Andy eat yesterday that there was doubt?

Regardless, he is an extremely fat man. He was the first time. He is this time. He’ll still beat AJ to the punch if they trade up in close because he’s been a relatively short (for a heavy) fat man his whole life and has adjusted to that and throws those short hooks with all that pudding behind them.

It’s gonna be fascinating. Ordinarily you’d say a man that fat will gas but he probably wont.

We burn glucose. He must be burning fat from the jump

He beat Ruiz to the punch in the first fight, and it didn't matter. He needs to stay focused after he gets Ruiz in trouble, now that he knows that Ruiz has faster hands that will hurt him if he gets caught. Also, despite being massively outweighed, Joshua tired much faster than Ruiz did, and never got his legs back after being hit. You can't train punch resistance, but maybe he improved his cardio.

Andy simply added weight to his punches, he already has the fast hands.

3 men walk into a bar. One was wearing a towel in his head, another w a sombrero, and another w headphones. The bartender says, “What is this, some kind of joke?”

I been thinking...what if AJ takes his 1st loss the same way Canelo did, & does a complete 180?

I've been picking Andy to repeat and I still do because I feel like hes just gonna want it more. First fight, AJ hurt & dropped Andy became even more aggressive the rest of the fight. But when AJ got dropped he did the opposite. Some guys are just more dog than others.

It'll be interesting to see how AJ reacts the first time Andy clips him with a good shot. Body language will be very telling

the extra weight only makes ruiz punch harder. everything else is the same. he will walk joshua down, take his shots and counter inside. the big if is can he take joshua's big shots again? if he can then joshua will get KOd again.
