Floyd is retired from boxing but occasionally comes to make money. He has earned that right, there are enough people willing to buy his fights so he will continue doing so. People can be salty all they want but he put himself out there and got people interested in what he does. Right now he is still relevant which shows how important he is. Whether you like him or hate him you somehow have feelings towards Mayweather and you will buy. He got himself people interested and that’s all that matters.

I don't care about Wilder's comments really...he is just saying out loud what a lot of people feel inside.
But let's just be real for a second...if a white boxer said this he would probably get suspended...just pointing it out for all those who swear there is some agenda against guys like Wilder and Crawford out there...the double standard usually goes the other way these days:
“You know, and I see a lot of things and I read a lot of things,” Wilder said. “And the people are on my side, man. You know, the things I talk about, the things I stand for and represent as a champion, they sees it. My work is not going [unnoticed]. I got the culture, man. I got the people behind me. I love my people. It ain’t all about money and this and that, because money is materialistic, bro. That come and go. But when you have loyalty, respect, dignity and pride from the people, inspiration, I got mens that’ll run through walls for me – literally. Man, it’s crazy. But it’s just like the motivation they see from me, as a black man, to stand up for what is right. And everyone don’t always wanna hear about what can be bought or what they have. … Let’s face it – a lot of us in America, a lot of people will never get the opportunity to experience what a luxury life looks like or even feel like. So, really, that’s just puttin’ sh-t in people face. At the end of the day, it can [only] be so much motivation, until your only talk is about materialistic things. That ain’t motivating people. That ain’t moving people, you know? And what I’m doing as a champion, and how I’m building my legacy for the people – and really for the people, especially my people, because I love all people, but I love my people; everyone else loves theirs – and when you have a champion that loves his people, man, it’s different.

In time he will be humbled but it's my bet he'll accept this lesson in life in a dignified fashion.
You think that "black activism" shít was intellectual where he called out AJ as a slave to Hearn made sense, an elevated icon earning countless millions and having top social status? Wilder himself is the elite of society is it not pretty damn distasteful how he's portraying himself as this "struggling black man" in the face of discrimination?
Should he not appreciate all the white fans rooting for him yet instead of reciprocating the attitude he exploits the chance to be ethnocentric and talk shít...

Translation: My owner Al Haymon is pissed that Floyd is ducking a 9 figure rematch with Pacquiao and he told me to talk SH about Floyd. Haymon wants/needs Floyd to fight Pac because my PPV #s and draw power are garbage, Spence may never fight again, and PBC needs a really big fight desperately.
