Well according to Floyd, his game plan was to allow Zab to throw for the first 6 rounds, and open up in the second half. And while Floyd did dominate the 2nd half, Zab did have his moments in the first 3rd of the fight.

I wouldn't at all have a problem with some giving some of those first 4 rounds to Zab.

And if you don't think Joshua will knock Ruiz out, you can even lay that bet.

People can talk big and say they know what is going to happen but when it comes to backing it up, they run scared like the OP.
That's the nature of most sport's fans. Is this an easy fight for Ruiz? If it turns out that way then A.J should take his millions and run.

I see this being like Lewis Rahman 2.
AJ jabbing from the outside and now and then a right straight/hook. Ruiz will go down and AJ will back off this time.
Then around the 5th or 6th he will pull the trigger and end it.

I hope Ruiz wins but I can't see it. That weird punch that got AJ on the top of the head ****ed him up and he never recovered.
One punch in the right area is all it takes for anyone to win ie Rahman. I remember after that fight Foreman and others were lauding him as a great and Lewis not an elite fighter etc.

As Manny Steward once said "You don't beat world champions, win world championships and olympic medals if you are not good."

It won't be easy, but he'll win. Hearn and co. Are taking this fight way too quickly. It's quite possible that AJ's punch resistance is in the toilet.

Joshua's stamina and chin issues finally came back to haunt him. I agree that a confidence boosting win before the rematch was probably the way to go.

Basically Joshua needs to step back and box from the outside for 12. It’s doable
It is doable but it is also very important to realize that Ruiz has some interesting qualities that make him a very interesting player in the division. I thought I would approach my post as a general statement, I see that others have said that Ruiz will be coming forward, yada yada...

There are punchers in the division like Wilder, and boxers like Fury. Joshua before the ruiz fight was kind of a boxer puncher. Ruiz is singular as a pressure fighter. pressure fighters make a puncher, or a boxer fight a certain way when they are effective. They toe the line learning how not to follow a puncher around, but keep pressuring him, making the puncher make mistakes.

Joshua and Wilder both may find themselves not able to do what they want when under pressure. Ruiz has the style to challenge both men frankly.

Also; If a fighter lands 15 jabs, but gets blasted by 10 powershots, and is punch-drunk staggering all over the ring, the fighter who landed more wins that round? Despite most likely having a concussion? (Like someone I know. LOL.)
You're right it's not your criteria. You had to Google it to know what to score. I didn't. Which explains a lot.

In the example you give the latter fighter would obviously win the round. But that's not what happened in Round One. Or Round 2. Or Round 5.

They are the three I scored for Joshua, while acknowledging that there wasn't that much in any of them. If you told me you scored Round One to Ruiz, then I would disagree but I wouldn't have that much of a problem. When you tell me Ruiz won the round by a mile I call bull****.

The OP is adamant Ruiz won every round and can't believe anyone would have scored a single round to Joshua.

I don't think it can even be classed as an opinion to call him a moron. It's just a fact.

Talk is cheap, when you have to back it up by risking something on it, you have your doubts.

AJ literally dropped Ruiz and decided to open up in the first fight, thinking Ruiz was more hurt than he was...in the ensuing firefight, AJ got caught first and that was it basically.

If I had to pick I would probably lean towards Ruiz but it is a hard fight to call...to say AJ had no answers in fight 1 and that it was always 1 way traffic is childlike analysis really.
