Comments Thread For: Matchroom, Chavez Jr, The NSAC and VADA

By Thomas Hauser - Matchroom Boxing USA plans to promote - and DAZN plans to stream - a super-middleweight fight between Danny Jacobs and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on December 20. Few boxing insiders think the bout will be competitive. Jacobs is a prohibitive favorite. But DAZN wants Chavez on the network because it believes his presence will drive...

Chavez is being fed to the wolves. The guy had "3" fights in 3 years.

One round in over two years. Last real win was in 2016.

I still have doubts Chavez can make 168 in a safe manner. His last fight was set at first to 168, then bumped to 175, and he still came in a shade over 175.

I see him making 168, but killing his body to get there, like he did with Canelo at 164.5.

This has to be the best kind of article you put on a site like this. Good reporting with hard facts. I love it.

As for Chavez, he needs to leave boxing.

Jr. isn't someone to be taken seriously since like back in 2013... The guy just doesn't like this sport -- it's his father who was forcing him into it...

Eddie Hearn is a pathological liar and he's dangerous.

Wow....just wow. Firstly, outstanding job of reporting by Hauser....he truly exposed Chavez, Hearn, and Matchroom for the “underworld” like act that is going on. Eddie Hearn has sunk to a new low, he truly has.....does he just openly encourage his fighters to do banned substances, dope, and PEDs?
The man truly had no shame and will do absolutely anything to show murkowski he can get subscriptions....and this man actually has legions of “fans” in the uk....

It amazes me how posters in the thread think this is a hit piece against Hearn. lol. What they don't realize is that Hauser is sub textually outlining a Haymon fighter in Chavez Jr. for REFUSAL to submit to a random VADA visit.

Rosado is a GBP fighter. Makes more sense why Matchroom and GBP would rather this than their ''enemy.''

''And the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) code expressly treats evading, refusing, or failing to submit to a drug test as a violation with penalties that are the same as the penalties for a failed drug test.''
