Canelo didnt just enforce one, but two different rehydration clauses on Kovalev

So Kovalev has to do 3 different weigh ins to fight Canelo.

    Regular weigh in max 175lb

    Morning weigh in 185lb

    Fight night weigh in 190lb

Dont forget that the fight is extremely late because it starts after UFC fight card, it starts around midnight, meaning Kovalev from the early morning can only gain 5lb the whole day, otherwise he will have to pay millions.

Golden Boy tried to keep it secret, and even had Team Kovalev to sign a NDA (None Disclosure Agreement), so they were not allowed to talk about any clauses of the fight, there might actually be more clauses which have not come out, or will never leak.

Canelo himself, when fighting at 154/155 usually rehydrated to 170-174 on fight night, which means he gained between 15-20lb. Now a taller, bigger man isnt allowed to rehydrate as he usually does to give Canelo an advantage.

What other clauses are in the contract that the public will never find out about?

SMFH lets hope Kovalev finds a way to still KO him even being drained and unhealthy

190 pounds is pretty fair, what is he trying to come in as a heavyweight?

If this is true..it’s all kinds of ***d up but as I said in another thread..if you accept it as a fighter it’s only because you think it’s not a big issue so you can’t use it as an excuse.

The fight will start later than that because ufc main events don’t start till 9-10 pm pacific usually. ****** scheduling to cater to ufc.

It’s true. I doubt kovalev would come in much more than that if at all, but it’s the fact that canelo’s people are trying to manipulate the situation so much that’s off putting. I mean, if you wanna move up and fight the guy, just do it ffs.

i think 195 is the reasonable figure and it's also not in heavyweight territory yet...

190 is ok...he's not drained. Weighed in at 175 yesterday, he can gain 15 pounds and still honor the contract.
